the field of magic? Samala Venu, Manager,
Public Relations, Gati Limited (one of the
logistics management companies) is also
a popular magician who has presented more
than 5000 stage shows, learnt the tricks
from well known masters such as L Lal Sr
and P.C. Sorcar Jr. in Kolkata, and has
given performances in more than 21 countries
so far.
Amazing,
considering the fact that, Samala Venu never
wanted to become a magician in the first
place. He wanted to be a sportsman but circumstances
forced him to take up the magic wand in
1982 and he has never looked back since
then.
Venu is in
Bangalore as a delegate to the International
Public Relations Conference and is scheduled
to present a brief magic show for the delegates
on Sunday evening at the Convention Centre,
Central College Premises, Palace Road.
